We used design thinking to develop a plan to help peak curiosity and participation in composting. Armed with clever sayings, thoughtful action, and oh so cute compost cat bins we proudly impacted our greater Minneapolis community, including roughly 7,000 at the Internet Cat Video Festival alone, and collected 895 pounds of compostable material. Through this project, AIGA Minnesota was able to capture the attention of a wider audience beyond the design community. People not only took notice but engaged and interacted with our project. Ultimately, we have shown the positive impact and power of passion-fueled design.
