Freight trains are still very active in the Southeast. I grew up placing coins on the railroad tracks and still find pleasure in this. There is something satisfying and exciting about distorting the typography and features of former presidents. By adding letterforms to my coins, I am using a pleasurable act to create randomly distorted forms. The message Pleasure is a Worthy Investment is a reminder to create for the simple joy of creating.
