The poster promotion was designed and printed by the designers/printers who organized and curated this exhibition. The exhibit educated about the history of the medium and demonstrated how letterpress is being explored in our contemporary design culture. The concept for the poster series was to highlight phrases and terms we often use but don’t realize the origin came from printing. This concept helped to accomplish the goal of the exhibit—connecting the past and present of letterpress. The challenges in printing included registering three-color runs, utilizing wood and metal type, photopolymer and even linoleum cuts.
